What is Intervention?

Intervene – To come between.

By definition, intervention is the act of coming between an individual and a behavior that has become harmful or life threatening. For our purposes we take this action in defense of a love one because they have demonstrated that they are unwilling or unable to act in their own defense.

“To successfully intervene on a love one, we accomplish two things. Not only do we save those we love, but we also honor ourselves and our relationships with them.

Intervention is a celebration of family and community. We come together in a focused and respectful way and help those we love to embrace a new path; a path into recover.”
