The recovery process is a series of treatment modalities that are designed to help an individual overcome their addiction. Each individual case will require a mix of these services to achieve the desired result. There are many factors to consider in determining what elements of the treatment continuum should be used in each case.

The different modalities include:

• Psychiatric assessment/evaluation

• Detoxification

• Hospital Based Treatment

• Residential Treatment

• Day Treatment

• Intensive Outpatient Treatment

• Sober Living

• Extended Care

• Sober Companions

• Drug Testing

• Medication Management

• 12-Step Recovery

• Therapeutic Support

Our goal in intervention is to offer a non-clinical assessment of the presenting problem and help family and friends get the Identified Patient to the appropriate clinical support. Clinicians are trained to deliver the modalities listed above; we are trained to get the patient to them. We also assist the treatment team, when appropriate, in supporting the patient in continuing the treatment process. This is referred to as secondary intervention. We do this to help the family in their support of their loved one when the process becomes difficult and the risk of leaving treatment increases. Post intervention work sometimes requires a secondary intervention and we are fully prepared should that necessity arise.
